Can I purchase clearance items on the Gillies website?
At the moment, customers can only purchase our clearance items in-store or over the phone with one of our colleagues. Since these products are 'sold as seen', customers are required to inspect the clearance items before they buy. Submitting an enquiry form will submit any questions you may have to the relevant store.
Are clearance items available for delivery?
Yes, they are. If you purchase a clearance item in-store, we can arrange delivery via our own fleet of delivery vehicles. We can deliver to most places in mainland Scotland and the price will depend on the size of the item you purchase.
Does Gillies offer a standard warranty on clearance items?
Yes, you get a 1-year warranty as standard on clearance products. Unless stated otherwise, you are covered by any manufacturer's defects up to 1 year after purchase.
If furniture is in clearance, does that mean it is second-hand?
No, not at all. Gillies defines clearance as products that are new, but have been on the shop floor, or perhaps have had a small cosmetic mark picked up during shipping. It is quite rare that a clearance item has actually been outwith our stores once it arrives.
Is clearance furniture first-come, first-served?
Since our clearance items are one-off pieces, they are purchased on a first-come, first-served basis. Although we may have brand new versions of the same product, we cannot do it for the same price as the clearance item once sold. If you spot a piece you like, please feel free to contact the relevant store.
