Rotary Golf Event 2022

4 October 2022
Dominic, David and Jonathan at the Rotary Golf Event

Our Gillies Golfer team had the privilege of representing the company at the Rotary Club of Monifieth & District’s annual Charity Event. This fundraiser aims to raise money for Scottish charities, this year supporting Alzheimer Scotland.

The previous year The Rotary Club managed to raise over £7000 for the Scottish Association for Mental Health. This event includes a wonderful day of golf at the Monifieth Links where our team managed to play an impressive round and even got their picture with the signage surrounding the hole we sponsored for the event. We hope that the organisation managed again to raise an impressive amount for this year’s worthy charity.

Here’s what our team thought of the event:

“Thanks to the organisers of the event, it was a very well run and enjoyable day. We were proud to represent Gillies and are looking forward to next year!” Dominic Kelly – Ecommerce Manager

“What a great day, the weather was fantastic as was the company we all played with varying amounts of success... Organisation and hospitality on the day was excellent, great to be also supporting a great charity.” David Amery – Bed Buyer

“The ‘Dude, where’s my par?’ team had a fantastic afternoon representing Gillies of Broughty Ferry at the Monifieth & District Rotary Charity Golf Event, despite many participants entering bunkers and lush rough regularly, you could tell that we all still enjoyed ourselves!

“Gillies are passionate about supporting local events and were delighted to enter a team and sponsor the 16th hole this year. Big thanks to the Rotary Team for putting on such a great event and raising money for a very worthwhile cause.” Jonathan Creese – Customer Experience Manager
