Ever looked around your living room, hall or bedroom and thought, ‘I really want a new look, freshen the home up a bit’; well that’s exactly what we have just done with our Aberdeen store! With the store having now been open for over 14 years, we couldn’t fight the temptation any more. On the ground floor of the store, we have completely stripped out the old, and re-vamped it with all new! The old carpets have been uplifted and re-placed with wood-effect Karndean flooring in 4 colourways – even laid herringbone in two areas for extra pizzazz!
We have installed custom made screens to display specially selected wallpapers which best highlight the individual pieces of furniture, even adding pendant lighting throughout to further compliment the roomsets.
Ceiling rafts have been altered and decorated to create varying moods suited to different furniture styles, and we’ve tweaked the signage to reflect the new brand logo that we are rolling out.
However the biggest challenge of all was our 3 story spiral staircase! With the skillset of an army of decorators, the staircase centrepiece has been transformed to look like an industrial ‘stack’. Whilst the brick may look real, it is actually made by Murals Walls Uk and can be found at www.muralswalls.co.uk.
Overall, we are delighted with the finished article and are already now looking ahead to enhancing the final areas of the 1st floor during 2018. A special thanks to our Interior designs, S.D McNeish, M.N Hamilton decorators and West End Electrical.
